Ingredients:
All purpose flour - 2 cups (sifted)
Sugar - 1 cup
Baking soda - 1 tsp
Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Shortening - 1 cup
Chopped nuts - 1 cup
Uncooked rolled oats - 2 1/2 cups
Grated lemon peel - -1/2 tsp
Eggs - 3 (well beaten)
Milk - 1/2 cup
Method:

Method:
- Mix flour,sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in shortening with knife until pieces are the size of rice kernels.
- Mix in nuts, oats, and lemon peel.
- Add eggs gradually, mixing thoroughly.
- Mix in milk thoroughly.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2' apart onto cookie sheets.
- Bake at 375 F about 10 minutes or until delicately browned.
- Cool on wire racks.
