IDLI

Ingredients:
Urad dal - 1 cup
Idli Rawa - 2 cups
Salt to taste


Method:

  • Soak dal and Rawa separately for 4-5 hours.
  • Wash and remove the skin (gently rub) of dal
  • Squeeze the water from rawa
  • Grind the dal using sufficient water to fine paste.
  • Add rawa  and mix well.
  • Keep aside for 4 hours for fermentation.
  • Add salt before cooking.
  • Drop 1 tbsp of batter in Idly plates and keep the plates in Idly cooker.
  • Steam cook for 10 minutes in high and 5 minute in low flame.
  • Serve hot with ghee and coconut chutney.
