Apple - Nut Muffins

Maida - 225 gms
Baking Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp
Sugar - 115 gms (powdered)
Apple - 1
Walnuts - 75 gms (chopped)
Sour Cream - 285 ml
Milk - 115 ml
Egg - 1


  • Peel and core the apple.Beat the egg lightly.
  • Preheat the oven to 220 degree C. 
  • Sift maida, baking soda, salt and cinnamon together.
  • Add sugar to the above.
  • Stir in apple and walnuts.
  • In another bowl, blend 3/4th of sore cream with egg and milk.
  • Add the mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until the dry ingredients are completely mixed with cream batter.
  • Fill 2/3rd of  batter in greased muffin tins.Drop 1 tsp of sour cream into the center of each muffin.
  • Sprinkle little sugar on top of each muffin.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a needle inserted into a muffin comes out clean.
