Drumstick Pickle

Drumsticks - 12
Red chilli powder - 4 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Mustard Powder - 50 gms
Oil as required
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp


  • Wash and dry drumsticks. Cut them into 2" pieces.
  • Boil the drumstick pieces till they are half tender. Drain the water completely.
  • Now add red chilli powder, turmeric, mustard powder and salt and mix well.
  • Heat oil, add mustard and fry till mustard crackles.
  • Remove from fire and cool the oil.
  • Pour this oil on drum stick mixture.
  • Transfer to sterilized glass jar.
  • Keep the jar directly to sun for 10 days then use it.
