Ingredients:
Cake Flour - 3 cups
Eggs - 3
Butter or soft shortening - 3/4th cup
Sugar - 1 1/2 cup
Baking Powder - 2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Orange rind - 1 tbsp (grated)
Orange Juice - 1/2 cup
Milk - 2/3rd cup
Method:
Cake Flour - 3 cups

Milk - 2/3rd cup
Method:
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt twice and keep aside.
- Combine shortening, sugar, eggs and orange rind in a large bowl. Beat with hand mixer at high speed for 3 minutes.
- Stir in flour mixture alternately with orange juice and milk, beating after each addition until batter is smooth. Pour batter into greased tin.
- Bake in moderate oven for 30 minutes or until centers spring back when lightly pressed with finger tip.
- Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes, loosen around edges with a knife, turn out onto wire racks.
