Prawn Cutlet

Prawns - 250 gms (cleaned)
Potatoes - 500 gms
Ginger Paste - 1 tbsp
Onions - 4
Green chillies - 5-6
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon juice - 2 tsp
Bread crumbs - 1 cup
Egg- 1
Oil for frying


  • Cut 2 onions and green chillies into small pieces. 
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan, add onions, chillies, prawns, ginger paste, salt and pepper. Fry well till prawns are cooked. add lemon juice and remove from fire.
  • Boil, peel and mash potatoes. Add salt and remaining chopped onions. Mix well.
  • Take a little potato mash, make center of it and fill with prawn mixture and cover it with potato mixture and form into cutlet.
  • Dip in beaten egg then roll in bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
  • Serve with sauce and onion rings.
