Spicy Potato Cup Cakes

Potatoes - 200 gms
Maida - 1/2 cup
Corn flour - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1/2 cup
Egg - 1
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt - 1 tsp

For filling:
Moong dal - 1 cup (boiled)
Onion - 1 (chopped)
Green chillies - 2 (chopped)
Salt to taste
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp


  • Boil, peel and mash potatoes.
  • Sieve maida, corn flour, baking powder and salt. add to mashed potatoes.
  • Add beaten egg and knead it into medium soft dough with milk.
  • Mix all the filling ingredients together.
  • Divide the dough into 10 -12 portions. In the center of the ball keep filling mixture and close it carefully.
  • Keep them in cake cups.
  • Brush with oil on top and bake in the hot oven for 10 minutes or until they are slightly brown at the top.
  • Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
