Curry Leaf Powder (Karivepaku Podi)

Channa dal - 1 cup
Arhar dal - 1/2 cup
Curry leaves - 2 cups
Red chillies - 15 -20
Salt to taste
garlic cloves - 4
Oil - 1 tbsp


  • Heat oil and fry red chillies and keep them aside.
  • In the same pan, add channa dal and arhar dal. Fry them till aroma comes.
  • Remove and keep aside. Fry curry leaves in the same pan for  a minute.
  • Now cool and grind all the ingredients to powder.
  • Store in airtight container.
  • Serve with steamed rice and ghee.
