Ingredients:
Maida - 175 gm
Sugar - 90 gm
Butter - 70 gm
Curd - 1 1/4 cup
Baking powder - 2 tsp
Baking soda - 1 tsp
Lemon juice - 3 tbsp
Lemon peel - 1 lemon (grated)
Topping:
Sugar - 3 tbsp
Lemon juice - 3 tbsp
Method:
Maida - 175 gm

Sugar - 3 tbsp
Lemon juice - 3 tbsp
Method:
- Sieve twice maida, baking powder and soda together and keep aside.
- Preheat oven to 190C.
- Beat butter and sugar till frothy, add sieved flour alternatively with curd and lemon juice.
- Add lemon peel and Mix well.
- Pour into greased pan and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or till the cake is done.
- After removing from the oven, let it cppl in the tin for 10 minutes and then transferred to plate. Keep aside.
- For the topping heat sugar and lemon juice over low heat, stirring continuously, till the sugar dissolves.
- Pierce the top of the cake with fork and pour the prepared topping on top of the cake.
- Cool the cake uncovered for 2 hours before cutting.
