Ingredients:
Flour - 2 cups
Cornflour - 2 tbsp
Castor sugar - 1/2 cup
Butter - 1/2 cup
Salt -1/4 tsp
Grated Orange rind - 2 tbsp
Orange essence - 1/2 tsp
Almond flakes - 1 tbsp
Method:
Flour - 2 cups
Cornflour - 2 tbsp
Castor sugar - 1/2 cup
Butter - 1/2 cup

Orange essence - 1/2 tsp
Almond flakes - 1 tbsp
Method:
- Beat butter and sugar till frothy then add Orange rind and essence.
- Sift flour, corn flour and salt together.
- Add this to the butter mixture and make a soft dough.
- Press in a greased square pan, sprinkle over flaked almonds and 1 tbsp of granulated sugar.
- Bake in a slow oven until golden.
- Remove when cold.
