Pappu Vadalu

Rice Flour - 500 gm
Channa dal - 1 cup
Sesame seeds - 1 small cup
Salt to taste
Cumin seeds - 2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Oil for frying

  • Take water and rice flour in equal portion i.e., 1:1
  • Pour water in a vessel and bring it to boil.When water starts boiling add channa dal and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Then add salt, chilli powder, cumin seeds, roasted sesame seeds. Boil for 2 minutes.
  • Slowly add rice flour and mix well without lumps.
  • Switch off the flame and close with lid.
  • Open the lid after 10 minutes.
  • Mix well without lumps.Make small balls and press them flatly.
  • Heat the oil and deep fry till crisp and golden.
  • Store up to 10 days.
