Home Remedies for Obesity





  1. Obesity is the most common cause of ill health. Any one who is 10% above the standard weight is considered over weight. A person can live 20-30 years longer, if he or she is not obese.
  2. Lack of exercise, over eating and heredity are generally the causes of obesity. A vigorous walk of about 3 miles daily can reduce one's weight by 10 kg a year.
  3. A pint of hot water drunk 15 minutes before food helps stout people to reduce.
  4. Fat people should eat moderately such foods as carbohydrates -  bread, white rice, cereals, sugar, sweets, puddings, fat, butter, ghee, etc., They should eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, protein food (lean meat, egg white, fish, etc.,)
  5. Daily drink 3 cups of green tea  for weight loss.
  6. Mix 1 tsp each of honey and lemon juice in hot water and drink it early morning daily.
  7. 1 tsp of Apple cider vinegar and lemon juice mix in one cup of water and drink daily for few days.
  8. Take 2 tbsp of Triphala powder, stir in 500 l of water and bring it to boil.Strain and drink the water 2 times daily.
  9. Mint chutney or mint tea  reduces the weight.
  10. Drink one glass of hot water after every meal.
