Ingredients:
Tender bottle gourd - 1 (small)
Onions - 2
Green chillies - 10-12
Coriander leaves - small bunch
Tamarind - 2 strips
Salt to taste
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
For Talimpu:
Oil - 1 tbsp
Red chilli - 1
Garlic cloves - 4 (crushed)
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Method:
Tender bottle gourd - 1 (small)

Method:
- Peel and cut gourd into small pieces. Finely chop onions and green chillies.
- Put gourd pieces, onion and green chillies in a vessel then add one glass of water and bring it to boil.
- When pieces are tender add tamarind, salt and turmeric and cook till soft. Mash the pieces and keep aside.
- Heat oil, add all talimpu ingredients, fry till mustard splutters then add mashed pieces and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and remove from fire.
- Serve with rice.
