TEA CAKE

Ingredients:
Maida - 225 gms
Eggs - 4
Sugar - 225 gms (powdered)
Butter - 115  gms
Kishmish - 100 gms
Baking soda - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp

Method:

  • Sieve maida, baking soda and salt twice.
  • Blend sugar and butter till frothy.
  • Separate egg whites and beat till steaks form.
  • Mix egg yellows and maida mixture simultaneously to the butter mixture.
  • Lastly add kishmish and egg whites; stir well.
  • Pour this batter in greased tins and bake for 20-25 minutes at 375 F.
  • Serve.
