ALMOND MACAROONS

Ingredients:
Sugar - 1 cup
Almond paste- 200 gm
Egg whites - 2

Method:

  • Combine sugar and almond paste in large bowl; mix with fingers until well blended.
  • Add egg whites gradually, using just enough to moisten; mix with wooden spoon.
  • Roll lightly into walnut size balls; flatten slightly. 
  • Pace about 2" apart on brown paper on baking sheet.
  • Bake in preheated 325 F oven about 12 minutes or until very lightly browned.
  • Remove from oven; slide paper onto damp towel.
  • Cool slightly.
