Poha - 250 gms
Sugar - 200 gms
Condensed milk - 1/2 tin
Lukewarm milk - 1/2 cup
Bananas - 4 (peeled and chopped)
Mixed nuts - 50 gms (chopped)
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Saffron -  few strands (soaked in a little milk)


  • Sprinkle a little warm milk over poha and keep aside for 1/2 an hour.
  • Dissolve sugar in one cup of water in a heavy bottomed pan. Keep stirring on a low flame to obtain a thin syrup.
  • Add grated banana and poha mixture. Cook on a medium flame until thick.
  • Add condensed milk and stir for 4-5 minutes.
  • Lastly add nuts, saffron and cardamom powder.
  • Stir well and serve cold.
