Corn flour - 1 tbsp
Milk -284 ml
Butter - 15 gms
Sugar - 25 gms
Vanilla essence - few drops


  • Blend the corn flour with a little cold milk.
  • Bring the rest of the milk to the boil, pour over the corn flour mixture and return to the pan with the butter and sugar and continue to cook steadily, stirring, until smooth and thick.
  • Add the essence.
  • Serve with the steamed puddings.
