ALMOND MACAROONS

Ingredients:
Almond paste - 230 gms (cut in pieces)
Egg whites - 3 (slightly beaten)
Vanilla extract - 3/4 tsp
Sugar - 1 cup

Method:

  • Work almond paste until softened. Add the egg whites gradually, mixing thoroughly.
  • Stir in extract. Add sugar in halves, mixing until blended after each addition.
  • Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets lined with unglazed paper.
  • Bake at 300 F about 25 minutes.
