Ingredients:
Basmati rice - 500gms
Mushrooms - 200gms
Tomatoes - 250 gms
Onion - 1
Green chillies - 2-3
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
Coriander, cumin powder -1 tsp
Cardamom- 2
Cinnamon - small pieces
Cloves - 4
Bay leaf - 1
Coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Oil or ghee - 1-2 tbsp
Method:.
Basmati rice - 500gms

Oil or ghee - 1-2 tbsp
Method:.
- Heat oil or ghee in big thick vessel, add bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and fry for 1 minute.
- Add chopped onions, chillies, tomatoes, mushrooms and cook till the oil leaves from sides.
- Add spices and mix well.
- Add soaked rice(for 15 minutes) and add sufficient water (1:2) and close the lid.
- Cook till rice done.
- Garnish with coriander leaves
- Serve hot with tomato chutney or raita.
