Ingredients:
Milk - 450 ml
Rice - 50 gms
Salt - pinch
Double cream - 200 ml
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Blanched almonds- 1 tbsp
Method:
Milk - 450 ml

Method:
- Bring the milk to the boil.
- Wash the rice thoroughly and scatter it on to the milk. Simmer gently for one hour, and season with salt.
- This makes the basic Rice porridge.
- Whip the cream with sugar, stir in the rice mixture, and add chopped almonds.
- Serve with jam or with fruit sauce.
