Ingredients:
Turnips - 1 kg
Sugar - 1 cup
Vinegar - 1/3 cup
Water - 1 cup
Salt - 3 tbsp
Method:
Turnips - 1 kg
Sugar - 1 cup

Method:
- Peel turnips; slice very thin.
- Put into bowl.
- Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan; bring to boil.
- Pour over turnips; mix gently but thoroughly.
- Cover; refrigerate 5 days.
