Ingredients:
Shortening - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Egg - 1
Vanilla - 1 tsp
All purpose flour - 2 2/3 cups
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Soda - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
Commercial sour cream - 1/2 cup
Method:
Shortening - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Egg - 1

All purpose flour - 2 2/3 cups
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Soda - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
Commercial sour cream - 1/2 cup
Method:
- Heat oven to 425 degrees (hot). Mix shortening, sugar, egg, and vanilla thoroughly.
- Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
- Blend dry ingredients; add to sugar mixture alternatively with sour cream.
- Divide dough; roll out to 1/4" thick on well floured pastry cloth.
- Cut with 2" cutter; place on greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
