Rice - 1 cup
Moong dal -1/2 cup
Whipped curd - 1 cup
Ginger - 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil or ghee - 2 tsp
Water - 5 cups
Curry leaves
Method:
- Wash and soak rice and dal for 15 minutes
- Heat the oil in pressure cooker, add cumin seeds, ginger, curry leaves and fry for 1 minute.
- Add rice and moong dal and fry for 1 minute in high flame.
- Add water and salt, close the lid and cook upto 3 whistles.
- Cool and remove the lid and add whipped curd and close again the lid for 5 minutes.
- Open the lid and mix gently.
- Serve immediately with chutney or plain.
