Bandar Laddu

Besan - 1/2 kg
Sugar - 1/2 kg
Cardamom - 10 no
Ghee - 500 gms

  • Take fresh besan and sieve.
  • Mix besan with little water to make little hard dough like karappusa. 
  • Heat ghee in kadai,  wet your hands and take sufficient dough to fill in karappusa pressing machine and press it in hot oil.
  • Fry both sides turning gently till golden colour.
  • Remove and the do the same process with remaining dough.
  • Now grind karappusa to make fine powder.
  • Add 1 cup of water to sugar and make sugar syrup. Add cardamom powder. Remove from fire.
  • Add karappusa powder to syrup and mix well.
  • Again grind it to make fine paste or transfer the mixture to a mortar and pound it with pestle till the mixture becomes soft.
  • Grease your hands with ghee, Make a round balls.
  • Cool and store.
Note: Laddus should be made when the mixture is still warm.
