Fruit Chutney

Ingredients:
Banana - 1
Apple - 1
Mango - 1
Pineapple Slices - 3
Ginger - 50 gms
Raisins - 170 gms
Sugar - 1 cup
Malt Vinegar - 175 ml
Onion - 1
Coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp
Aniseed - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

Method:

  • Cut all fruits and onion into small pieces. Grate the ginger.
  • Put all fruits, raisins, sugar, ginger, onion, malt vinegar in a pan and simmer for 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Coarsely ground roasted coriander and aniseeds.
  • Add this to fruit mixture along with salt.
  • Mix well and cook for 5 minutes till it becomes thick and sticky.
  • Cool and serve with bread or chapatis.
