Malabar Spinach (Bachchali Aku) Bajj

Besan - 125 gm
Malabar Spinach leaves - 25
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Oil for frying


  • Mix besan, salt, chilli powder and cumin seeds. Add sufficient water to make thin batter.
  • Wash the spinach leaves.
  • Heat oil in kadai, dip the leaves in batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden.
  • Serve hot.
