Ingredients:
Rice - 1 cup
Arhar dal - 1/4 cup
Fresh coconut- 1/2 cup (grated)
Potato -1
French beans - 4-5
Carrot - 1
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Tamarind pulp -2 tbsp
Sambar powder - 2 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
For Seasoning:
Oil -1 tbsp
Channa dal - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Red chillies- 3-4
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Ground nuts - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves - few
Method:
Rice - 1 cup
Arhar dal - 1/4 cup

Method:
- Wash dal and rice. Cut all the vegetables into cubes.
- Pressure cook rice, dal with chopped vegetables. Add 3 cups of water and cook until dal is soft and rice is done.
- when the lid open; add grated coconut, sambar powder and tamarind. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Heat the oil in pan; add all seasoning ingredients and fry them.
- Pour over rice ix well.
- Serve hot.
