Ingredients:
Spinach leaves - 2 cups (chopped)
Red chillies - 2
Green chillies - 4
Sesame seeds - 1 tsp
Channa dal -1 tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Tamarind - little
Oil- 2 tsp
Garlic cloves - 4
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
For Talimpu:
Oil - 1 tsp
Red chilli -1
Mustard, cumin, fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Method:
Spinach leaves - 2 cups (chopped)

Oil - 1 tsp

Mustard, cumin, fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Method:
- Heat the oil in pan; add channa dal, sesame seeda an let it fry.
- Then add red chillies, green chillies and saute for one minutes.
- Add spinach leaves, turmeric, tamarind and salt. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes until spinach leaves are soft.
- Remove and let it cool.
- Grind all the ingredients along with garlic and cumin seeds to make chutney.
- Transfer it to a bowl.
- Heat the oil in pan; add all talimpu ingredients and allow them to splutter.
- Pour this over chutney.
- Serve with rice, Idli or Dosa.
