Ingredients:
Sambar onions - 200 gms
fresh coconut - 1 cup (grated)
Sesame oil- 100 ml
Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Method:
Sambar onions - 200 gms

Method:
- Peel the onions and leave them whole.
- Heat the oil in a kadai; fry the onions till light golden brown. Remove the onions.
- In the same oil add mustard and curry leaves and allow to splutter.
- Add grated coconut and cook in low flame for 2-3 minutes.
- Mix salt and chilli powder and cook two more minutes.
- Mix in the onions and vinegar and stir gently.
- Serve with rice.
- it is good for 2-3 days if refrigerate.
