Ingredients:
Basmati Rice - 500 gms
Onions - 1 cup (sliced and fried)
Milk - 1 cup
Cashew nuts - 6 tbsp (fried)
Walnuts - 6 tbsp (fried)
Peanuts - 6 tbsp (fried)
Pista - 6 tbsp (fried)
Raisins - 6 tbsp (fried)
Almonds - 6 tbsp (fried)
Rose water - 1 1/2 tbsp
Garam Masala - 3 tsp
Ghee - 1 cup
Saffron - few strands soaked in warm milk
Salt to taste
Method:
Basmati Rice - 500 gms

Method:
- Soak rice for 30 minutes in sufficient water. Drain and keep aside.
- Heat ghee in a pan, add garam masala. Saute for few seconds.
- Add rice and fry till masala coats well to rice.
- Add salt and water and cook till rice is 3/4th done. Drain the excess water and keep aside.
- In a thick bottom vessel., sprinkle saffron soaked milk.
- Spread a layer of rice, then dry fruits, pour remaining saffron mixture, rose water on top.
- Place fried onions on top and the vessel with aluminium foil.
- Cook on very low flame for 30 minutes.
- Remove from heat ans serve hot.
