Paneer Steam Burfi

Paneer - 250 gm
Sugar - 150 gm
Rose water - 1 tsp
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Pistachios - 1 tbsp (chopped)
Saffron -  few strands


  • Soak saffron in little water and keep aside.
  • Mash paneer with fingers. Add sugar and cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Pour paneer mixture into a deep metallic tray(greased). Sprinkle chopped pistachios.
  • Steam the mixture for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove and sprinkle rose water and saffron and cover with the foil.
  • Let it cool and put it in refrigerator.
  • Cut burfi into square pieces and serve.
