Ingredients:
Telaga Pindi - 1 cup
Arhar dal - 1 cup
Oil- 2-3 tbsp
Red chillies - 3- 4
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Salt to taste
Method:
Telaga Pindi - 1 cup

Method:
- Wash and cook arhar dal till soft but grains are separate.
- Boil 1 1/2 cups of of water in a vessel, when bubbles starts add salt and telaga pindi.
- Cook in low flame , stirring continuously till dry. This one must be dry not in wet condition.
- Place cooked pindi and dal in a big plate and crush if any lumps with hands.
- Heat oil in kadai, add red chillies, cumin and mustard seeds, asafoetida. Fry till mustard crackles.
- Add dal and pindi mixture, salt and fry in low flame for 10 minutes or till dry.
- Serve with rice.
