LITTLE MILLET DOSA (SAMALA DOSA)

Ingredients:
Urad dal - 1 cup
Little millets - 2 cups
Fenugreeek seeds -  1 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Oil

Method:

  • Wash and soak millets for 6 hours
  • Soak urad dal and fenugreek seeds for 4 hours then wash dal again.
  • Now grind urad dal, fenugreek seeds and millets together to make smooth batter using the soaked millet water.
  • Ferment the dosa batter overnight.
  • Add salt before using and mix well.
  • Heat the pan; grease with little oil and pour ladleful of batter and make it round and thin dosa. Sprinkle little oil around it.
  • Cook both sides and serve hot with chutney.
