Flour - 200 gms
Salt - 1 tsp
Compressed yeast - 1/2 oz
Tepid water - 1/2 cup
Oil - 1 tbsp


  • Sift the flour and salt into a warmed bowl. Mix the yeast smoothly with the water, add the oil and pour into the flour. Mix to a smooth dough.
  • When it is pliable and leaves the sides of the bowl clean, turn on to a floured working surface and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic, probably for about 5-6 minutes.
  • Shape into a ball, put into a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and leave in a warm place until doubled in size.
  •  Now the dough is ready for baking.
