Beetroots - 1/2 kg
Milk- 1 litre
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Cashew - 2 tbsp
Almonds - 2 tbsp


  • Peel and grate the fresh beetroots.
  • Boil milk in heavy pan. Add grated beetroot to the milk and cook in low flame.
  • Stir occasionally until the beetroot is soft and the liquid is almost absorbed.
  • Then add sugar and 1/2 of the ghee and stir all the time for few minutes.
  • Then add remaining ghee and stir till the water is completely dried off.
  • Lastly add chopped nuts.
  • Serve hot or cold.
