BELLAM MAMIDI TURUMU PACHADI (GRATED MANGO SWEET PICKLE)

Ingredients:


Raw mangoes - 1 kg (peeled and grated)
Chilli powder - 150 gms
Salt - 100 gms
Jaggery - 300 gms (grated)
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Fenugreek powder - 1 tsp
Mustard powder - 1 tbsp
Oil - 250 ml

Method:

  • Wash and wipe the mangoes with dry cloth.
  • Peel and grate the mangoes.
  • Heat the oil in broad vessel; add grated mango and cook till soft.
  • Then add grated jaggery and cook till the jaggery melts.
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Cook another five minutes and remove from the flame.
  • Cool the pickle completely and then store in dry glass jar.
