Ingredients:
Cucumber - 500 gms
Onion - 1
Tomatoes - 3
Green chillies - 3-4
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1/2tsp
Salt to taste
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Channa dal - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Coriander leaves - few
Oil - 2 tsp
Method:
- Peel, deseed and cut cucumber into small pieces.
- Finely chop onion, tomatoes and green chillies.
- Heat the oil in pressure cooker, add channa dal, mustard and cumin seeds, curry leaves and allow them to splutter.
- Then add chopped onion, green chillies, ginger garlic paste and fry till onions are soft.
- Add cucumber pieces and mix well; cook for3-4 minutes.
- Then add tomatoes; cook for 2 minutes.
- Add salt, turmerric, chilli powder and 1/2 cup of water.
- Close the lid and cook up to 2 whistles.
- Once the lid open ; add coriander leaves and cook till the gravy is thick.
- Serve with rice.
