FUDGE BARS

Ingredients:
Chocolate chips - 150 gms
vanilla  - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Shortening - 1/3 cup
Eggs - 2
flour - 1/2 cup
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Walnuts - 1 cup (chopped)

Method:

  • Heat shortening and chocolate chips in top of double boiler until melted.
  • Remove from heat, stir, and let cool.
  • Add vanilla, sugar, and eggs, mix well.
  • Stir in flour, salt and walnuts.
  • Spread into 8" square pan.
  • Bake in 325 F oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Cut into bars while still warm.
